Itinerary For Special Tour to
LOURDES & GARABANDAL

30th July - 6th August 2008

SPIRITUAL DIRECTOR: Fr. Eugene Kiely, C. C.,

WED 30 JULY Check in at Dublin or Belfast airport for
flight to Lourdes. Transfer to hotel and check in for 1 night
full board

THUR 31st JULY After breakfast we depart for Garabandal visiting Loyola the home of St Ignatius, the founder of the Jesuits. We will celebrate Mass in the Chapel of Conversion and visit the magnificent basilica. We also visit the wall tomb of Fr. Luis Andrew in the cemetery. (Fr Luis who died having seen a preview of the Great Miracle is known as the fifth visionary of Garabandal). After lunch (not included) we continue to Garabandal and check into ho-tel for 4 night full board.

FRI I AUG Mass in the Parish Church. On our way to the pines we follow the Stations of the Cross. The pines is where the children had many apparitions and where the Great Miracle is expected to take place some Thursday evening. During the day a familiarization dvd will be shown in the hotel auditorium. Our Spiritual Director will arrange a Holy Hour in the Parish Church.

SAT 2 AUG Mass in the Parish Church. Climb the Rosary path (all 20 mysteries) to the top of the mountain. Visit the Pines or watch one of the many dvds in the hotel. In the afternoon walk through the village visiting places associated with the visionaries, the site of the miracle of the Host, the cemetery and wall tombs where the children's parents and many witnesses of the events are laid to rest, and other places of interest

SUN 3 AUG Full day optional coach tour to two famous Spanish Shrines. The Monastery of Santo Toribio. Venerate the relic of the left arm of the True Cross in existence. Celebrate Mass here if possible. Following lunch we continue on to Covadonga. This shrine was visited by Pope John Paul 1 1 and is known as the Lourdes of Spain. (Cost ~20 approxi-mately) Return to Garabandal for evening dinner.

MON 4 AUG Leave Garabandal for Lourdes visiting Limpias en route. In St Peter's Church in Limpias
venerate the Miraculous Crucifix and maybe celebrate Mass. Continue to Lourdes stopping for lunch (not included) en route. , Check into hotel for 2 nights full board.

TUES 5 AUG In Lourdes. Visits to the Grotto, Basilicas, Baths, Stations of the Cross, Blessing of the Sick and Torch-light Precessions. Walking tour to places associated with St Bernadette, the Boly Mill, Cachot, Hospice, Parish Church and Cemetery.

WED 6 AUG Transfer to Lourdes airport for flight to Belfast or Dublin.
